LESSON THIS WEEK

Sunday February 5, 2012

Lessons In Truth by H. Emile Cady, Chapter 5 & 6

Faith, Chemicalization, Personality, and Individuality

I invite you to join us this week when we look at Faith, Chemicalization,

Personality, and Individuality. It will be fun to look at our own definition
of Faith and see if that has changed over our life. Chemicalization may be a
new term to some but it is actually a very old term that we need to know the
definition of and when and why it occurs. Lastly, the difference between our
Personality and our Individuality is an important distinction which can benefit
each of us as we learn how we are presenting our self. Come join in with other
Truth students to live more practical Christianity in life.

P R A Y E R

Lord, We give You thanks and praise, as we pray for all of Your beloved children in need of Your intervention. We continue to remember Aaron, George Franklin, Gwen Fowler, Rosie Young (Synthia Estrada’s mother), and Charlie Dowd. We pray for Mathe Koch, her fellow FEMA workers, and storm victims nation wide. We pray today, too, for the Children’s Church and Youth Ministry (the right and perfect Spiritual Guides to be with our children and youth), the Men and Women of our Military Services, who so heroically offer themselves as they sacrifice their personal safety and comfort without a complaint and often without a simple Thank You.

We pray for the hungry, poor, abused, homeless, unemployed/underemployed and our Government Leaders, on every level and in every country. We pray for all of our sisters and brothers to manifest the Spiritual perfection in Life that is our birthright and we thank You, God, for restoring each one to wholeness. We pray for our UCOR family, as we move forward with grace and ease bringing Your message of Truth to those who have ‘ears to hear’. GOD GRANT US PEACE ON EARTH! We make our prayer in the name and through the Power of our indwelling Christ, and so it is! Amen.

If you need immediate prayer, day or night, please call Silent Unity, Unity’s World-wide Prayer Ministry at 800-669-7729. All prayer requests are held in a continuous vigil of prayer for 30 days. Prayer is continuous at Silent Unity!

COMMUNITY SERVICE

– FOOD BANK –

Demand for food has greatly increased at the Rockdale Emergency Relief Food Bank. As we inventory our pantries, review coupons, and take advantage of Buy One…Get One promotions, we can pull together as a church and increase our donations to help the community. Bring in non-perishable items whenever it is convenient. We will be happy to transport your items. A collection bin is located in the foyer, as well as literature describing needed items. If you wish to make a personal on-site donation, please call 770-922-0165 for directions (on Iris Drive access road) and hours of operation.

– CLOTHING DONATIONS –

UCOR generosity is well known, but at this time we do not have the space, volunteers, or a logistical plan to process used clothing. We ask that you do not bring clothing items to UCOR. To ensure that items are put to good and timely use, please re-direct donations of clothing and household items to:

Volunteers at the Church

What makes our church so special is our many loving, dedicated volunteers. If the Unity Principles speak to you and you are ready to give unconditional, prayerful, loving service, please consider volunteering. Here are a few of the opportunities that you have to provide loving and harmonious service. We are very grateful to all our volunteers who bless our sanctuary with loving service, throughout the week.

Volunteers Needed to Help Transport Attendees to Church

“Hello Friends at Unity Church of Rockdale,
I am sending this email on behalf of my friend and I. We have been attending your church and have enjoyed the lessons and classes which you have offered. There’s just a small problem now. My friend was diagnosed with the early signs of MS. It does not allow her to walk to church anymore. Do you think there’s someone who could pick us up? I hope that someone can help us continue to attend church. Sincerely,….”

If you can help with this, please call the church at 770-922-6489 for more details.

Volunteers Needed to Help with Sound System

If you would be interested in assisting with the sound system, please contact Dr. Denise D’Angelo Jones. Training will be provided.

Volunteers Needed to Help with Grounds Projects

We need someone to install child proofing items. Items are already purchased. Estimate Time: 2 – 3 hours, depending on experience.

Volunteers Needed to Help with Sunday Greeting

WEATHERING THE STORM: Coping With Pain, Loss and Overwhelming Change

Change may be constant, but that doesn’t mean coping is easy.
Often we rush to label change as “the end” or “a crisis.”
In Unity’s new booklet, “Weathering The Storm: Coping With Pain, Loss and
Overwhelming Change,” you’ll learn to view life’s transitions as
opportunities to release the past and embrace new beginnings.”
